Environmental Consulting
Eric C. McKee, M.E., CIEC, CIE, CMR, Certifier, is Vice President of Keystone. Eric is a CESB accredited Certified Indoor Environmental Consultant and has over 15 years extensive field knowledge and experience in building science and diagnosing indoor environmental issues. With a background in mechanical engineering, he practices a common sense, solution oriented, and scientific approach to indoor environmental investigations and laboratory design and performance. His company provides a diversity of expertise in indoor environmental consulting as well as certification services for biohazard control and Controlled Contaminant Environments. Eric and his company have been retained by federal, state and municipal governments, insurance providers, schools, property management firms, healthcare facilities, commercial clients, manufacturing and industrial plants, mass transportation facilities and residential clients throughout the United States and the Dominican Republic.
Certification Services
Russell Pittman, NSF Accredited Certifier, is Client Services Manager of Keystone. Russell is a trained and certified field certifier and indoor environmental inspector. Since 2004, Russell has managed Keystone’s client base in VA, NC and DC and is the primary point of contact for all your local certification requirements - from Biosafety Cabinets (BSCs) to laminar flow hoods (LFWs or LFWSs) to chemical fume hoods (or CFHs). Russell ensures that your field certification services are scheduled and performed by one of our certifiers in a timely manner, he coordinates shipping and analysis with laboratories when we collect environment samples for mold/fungi or bacterial (per USP 797) at your facility, maintains our in-house stock and supplies of spare parts and sample media, such as HEPA filters. New for 2007, Keystone's on-line database is managed by Russell and used by our field certifiers to log in BSC, LFH/LFWS, or CFH certification results, and Keystone's clients to view them. . Russell also heads up Clean room certification in accordance with ISO standard 14644 which include airborne partice count testing, HEPA filter challenging and differential pressure testing.
Biohazard Safety and Control
John Keene, Ph.D., CBSP, Chief Laboratory Design and Performance Consultant, is the president of Global Biohazard Technologies, Inc. Dr. Keene has provided consulting services and safety training to agencies including OSHA, EPA, NIH and CDC with regard to indoor air quality, laboratory safety and infection and chemical exposure control. He is a specialist in biomedical laboratory design and safety, public health and clinical microbiology. He has extensive experience as a microbiologist and Manager of Biosafety with Abbott Labs and also as a hospital epidemiologist. Dr. Keene has done work on biological warfare response, biohazard containment and ventilation for the National Institute of Health and is an affiliate professor at the Medical College of Virginia in Industrial Hygiene. In the year 2000, he held the distinguished office of National President of the American Biological Safety Association.
Industrial Hygiene
Burton Ogle, Ph.D., CIH, CSP, Chief Industrial Hygiene Consultant, is a Professor in the Department of Environmental Health Sciences, Safety and Technology, West Carolina University. Dr. Ogle instructs graduate and undergraduate students in the areas of toxicology, industrial hygiene, ventilation, and occupational safety. He has extensive experience with establishing chemical and biological safety programs for hospital environments as well as maintaining institutional compliance with EPA and OSHA regulations and applicable accreditation standards such as JCAHO.
